While most of the holsters are made to help you draw your gun faster and more efficiently while also keeping you safe, this one is a bit different. Don’t get me wrong, this one still does all of these things, and it does them amazingly well, but it is also tailor-made to be excellent at close-quarters combat, or CQC for short. Let’s see what we have here!

BLACKHAWK! SERPA CQC Review

While the other models can certainly be used for a CQC scenario, Blackhawk has perfected the art of the holster that is centered toward more melee encounters. Blackhawk is one of the oldest and most respected companies in the world of holsters, so you know that the holsters have some real heft behind them. While it suffers from some of its most common problems, like poor durability and lack of a lifetime warranty, the quality of the materials and all of its signature features manage to take it up a notch into the world of true premium holsters.

Serpa Closed Quoters Combat Features

Retention is also taken care of with the included passive retention detent adjustment screw and the immediate retention and audible click upon reholster for security.

The belt loops are wide and strong, allowing you to adapt them to every gun belt possible.

Cons

  1. While it is advertised with multiple functions and good active retention, the holster has a huge problem of being constantly delivered with missing parts or broken edges.

Final Words

All in all, the holster is perfect for people who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty even though they have a gun with them but still want a full-fledged product that has all the features of a normal holster and then some. And top of all that, it is made by a well-known company in the face of Blackhawk, so what more can you want out of a CQC holster? The answer is nothing more than this one because there isn’t one that can top it.
